Knightdale and Holly Springs Rank Among Most Affordable Towns in NC

KnightdaleHollySpringsSeeking a Triangle area town to call home? Knightdale and Holly Springs should be on your list. SmartAsset recently named the Wake County towns among the 10 most affordable in the state.

The financial website researched numerous factors to determine an “affordability index” for each town. Factors reviewed included the towns’ average closing costs and mortgage payments, annual property taxes, median income and more.

This is the second consecutive year Knightdale has ranked first on the list with an affordability index of 91.75. Holly Springs also earned a repeat showing in sixth place with an affordability index of 90.40 and the highest median income represented at $91,755.

Last year, SmartAsset reported four Triangle markets—Knightdale, No. 1; Clayton, No. 2, Holly Springs, No. 6; and Garner, No. 10—were among the most affordable in North Carolina.
